Transitional Housing Specialist
About the role
You will be working directly with clients to create best-possible outcomes as outlined in the transitional housing guidelines. You will work with clients to assess, plan, implement interventions and access appropriate services to enable sustainable housing to meet their needs.
About us
Hutt Valley Women’s Refuge is a crisis organisation that has a vision that all women, children and whānau in the Hutt Valley live free from family violence.
Our Transitional housing service provides short-term accommodation for families who have or may have an urgent need for accommodation because they have nowhere else to stay or are unable to remain in their usual place of residence.
About you
We are looking for a passionate specialist who has a range of qualities including:

a good understanding of the complexity and impacts of homelessness and family violence on families, particularly women, children and young people

a passion for getting the best outcomes for families
-
flexible; able to adapt to the challenges that come with working with people who are affected by homelessness
-
collaborative and discrete; working well with others and driving solutions
-
self-management and a reflective approach

We are ideally seeking someone to join us 30 hours per week

We are open to applicants who are looking to work 40 hours (full time) per week as will negotiate additional responsibilities.
