Donation Guide
Often we're the first thought when it comes to donating used goods and pre-loved items and we're so grateful. Use the below guide to ensure you are providing items we can use.
Clothes, Shoes & Accessories
We accept clothing, shoes and accessories for women & children (newborn - 17). Below is a guide for making a donation to Hutt Valley Women's Refuge:

In like-new or good condition with no rips, holes or stains.

Avoid donating clothes that are faded with any zippers and buttons in working condition.

Any accessories like bags etc should be functional.

Please ensure items are washed and cleaned before donating them.
Household items

Furniture & White Goods
We accept furniture and white goods in good, working condition. Large items need to be confirmed with our team before donating as we can use them in our Safe House or get them directly to our clients in need.

Any white goods must be functional and working.

Email refuge@huttwomen.org.nz with an image and information about your donation.

Arrange to drop items off as we do not have the facilities to transport large items.
What we do not need
While we appreciate generous donations from our supportive community, we can't accept everything. Below is a list of items that we are fully stocked that we are not in need of at this time.

Bed linen, like sheets, duvets and quilt covers.

Bath towels.

Decor items like vases, wall art etc.
